What Are You Growing Right Now?
If your life were a garden, how would you say it’s looking at the moment?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Weedy, overgrown, with unfertilised soil and no order....a cluster-fuck of sorts?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Or, a blooming, fruiting, wildlife laden vision that is growing, flowing and moving with the seasons....
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Perhaps it’s somewhere in between?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If it’s been a while since you’ve even had a look, I’d recommend checking in on that asap. Because if you’re not in your garden, you can almost guarantee you’re spending time tending to other people’s gardens. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Why?
Because it’s easier to scan the landscape of somebody else’s and start giving advice, moving boulders and dirtying up your hands. It’s actually an amazing way to keep yourself too busy with other people shit to take care of yourself.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Sooner or later though your garden will become too baron or too overgrown. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Your duty is to take care of your own garden and get it to a healthy, manageable place. Bust out the pruning sheers, dust off the wheel barrow and start pushing that plough while you throw a handful of seeds around. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
No one can water and maintain your garden like you can. Working on other gardens will not miraculously make yours better.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Your garden is your responsibility. Make it one you love to be in.
